Are you looking for a physical therapy career with a practice that values your time and expertise? You should join us at Rebound Physical Therapy! My name is Brooke and I’m a physical therapist. I’ve been working at Rebound since July of 2017, and today I want to share my experiences with this practice so that you can get an inside look at what makes this team so great and why you should come work with us!
What Initially Drew Me to Rebound Physical Therapy?
I loved the community. I love that there are several therapists to collaborate with and work with and bounce questions off of. It’s just a good community feel the second you walk into the clinics.
What Do I Love About Working for Rebound Physical Therapy?
A lot of the same things that drew me to it to begin with are what I love about this practice. I love the people I work with, from the front desk to other therapists to the administrative staff. Everybody’s amazing. There’s a great team atmosphere with other therapists being able to bounce ideas off of each other, and everybody works really well together.
How Would I Describe Rebound’s Philosophical Approach to Physical Therapy?
Our whole team definitely believes in having that one-on-one treatment model where we focus on treating the individual, not just the condition. We have a lot of different options for treatment, and the team is made up of many therapists that each have a little bit different skill set. So, no matter what treatment a patient needs, here we’re able to collaborate with other experts on manual techniques, exercises, sports rehabilitation, neurological conditions, women’s health, etc. We work together to treat the whole person to get them back to doing what they want to do and what they love to do.
How Does Rebound’s Philosophy Resonate with Me?
Well, I really believe in treating the whole person. Again, my goal is always to get the patient back to doing what they want to do because the most important thing is their function and ability to participate in their life the way they want to.
How Would I Describe the Rebound Culture?
It’s fun! It’s very upbeat. You walk in, and you automatically have that feeling like you’ve joined a community. It’s very collaborative and a positive place to be. I love the space that we have available because it’s second to none in terms of a physical therapy clinic. I also love everybody I work with. I love the autonomy I have as a clinician because I’m able to control my own patient care and do what I think is best to really help each person I treat. Rebound allows you to go whatever direction you want, whether you’re interested in leadership opportunities or specialization. The leadership here is always supportive of my goals.
How Have I Benefited from Rebound’s Mentorship Program?
I have grown leaps and bounds in terms of leadership and being able to learn more about the business side of physical therapy because Rebound’s mentorship program enables me to reach out to specialists and learn from them. I have people at my fingertips every day who have higher knowledge in anything that I might want or need to know, and everybody’s available to answer my questions. This program offers new opportunities that you may not get in school or clinically, as far as leadership goes. And the team here supports me and provides resources for me to go do continuing education courses in areas where I would like to expand my knowledge so that I can improve my skills.
What Do I Think About Rebound’s Quality of Care?
I think that, again, our focus is second to none in terms of getting our patients back to doing what they want to do. We often get feedback from our patients who say, “You guys are really focused on getting me back to doing what I want to do, not just getting rid of my pain.” I think that speaks volumes on our quality of care and how we see the patient and why they’re here.
How Do I Feel About One-on-One Care?
That is very important to me, as I know if I were a patient, that would be very important. I’d want to feel seen and heard and like I’m getting that one-on-one attention I need to improve my quality of life. And as a physical therapist, one-on-one care makes the volume of patients that we see much more manageable as well, so it’s definitely one of the major reasons why I love Rebound.
How Would I Describe the Clinical Freedom that Rebound Gives Its Physical Therapists?
Rebound allows its therapists to make their own decisions from day one. Our leadership acknowledges that they hire professionals, and they treat us as such. They give us expectations as far as quality of care, but however you get there is up to you.
Does Working at Rebound Allow Me an Enjoyable Work-Life Balance?
Yes, and I think the beautiful thing is that you don’t feel overwhelmed coming in. We stay busy, but it’s a good, steady pace. It’s not overwhelming, and the pace of how we schedule the one-on-one care and the time that we have with each patient is really helpful in managing that work-life balance. Rebound is generous with vacation time and allows you to take the time if you need it. They’re also understanding that sometimes life happens and are willing to work with you.
I am a wife and a mom of three little babies. I’m definitely able to leave Rebound at the end of the day, enjoy my kids, enjoy my family, go on vacations, and spend time with them without worrying about work or staying caught up. Again, I think that goes back to the way we schedule and how we see our patients because I’m able to manage my time while I’m at work to get what I need done, then enjoy my family and my babies.
What Initially Drew Me to Work at Rebound?
It’s a private practice, it’s physical therapist-owned, which was really important to me because I think there is a difference when the owner understands what we do on a day-to-day basis. I love that they do one-on-one care, so there’s no double bookings, there’s no overwhelming schedules. Our evaluations are great because you get that first one-on-one time to really figure out what’s going on with the patient and establish rapport with them.
Why You Should Join Our Team at Rebound Physical Therapy
The second you walk into Rebound, you definitely get that good positive vibe and a sense of community, and people come back here time and time again. There are not a lot of places like this as far as the space for treatment and the equipment and the resources. Rebound provides opportunities for continuing education and all those important things to help you improve clinically and professionally. They have very clear expectations of productivity and what you’re supposed to do, but they’re also very manageable. You’re not going to ever feel overwhelmed. There are also bonus opportunities, and those are very clearly laid out as to what they entail and what the target is. At Rebound, you really have full control about how much you can do and how far you can go working here.
