Chair Yoga

This class is a modification of traditional yoga poses so that they can be done while seated in a chair or standing using the chair for support. Students can do versions of twists, hip stretches, forward bends, and mild backbends. Benefits include flexibility, improved muscle tone, and a reduction of anxiety, stress, and chronic pain.

Sit-to-Fit

Provides a safe and effective exercise environment at a low-moderate intensity with the assistance of a chair for support. This comprehensive workout features cardio, strength training, balance and stretching with an added bonus of stress management and guided relaxation. Participants may choose to remain seated the entire time or stand using the chair for balance when needed.

Offers a low-moderate intensity group exercise class that includes cardio, strength training, balance and stretching. Participants will be encouraged to work at an appropriate intensity for their fitness level while challenging themselves with a variety of exercise movements. Individuals with physical limitations will be provided modification guidance for this standing class.

This program is designed to get you fit and focused. Participants should have a good idea of core muscles and basic movement patterns. Exercises are performed at moderate to high levels of difficulty. Specific stretches are also utilized with the athlete in mind. The program is upbeat, motivating and should provide the participant with a challenge each week. FTC2 is a higher intensity class for those looking for an additional challenge.
